About

My name is Brandon Kelone, and I’m the face behind Acacia Fruit Wellness.

I started my journey into health and fitness like a lot of people—mostly clueless and unsure where to begin. Then I spent the next 20 years muddling through the sea of information and misinformation surrounding fitness, health, and wellness to answer a simple question: How do I get in better shape and live a healthy life?

For much of my young and early adult years I struggled with my weight and my relationship with food and exercise. I found temporary success with a lot of programs I tried, but finding long term, sustained balance was something that remained illusive for the better part of 20 years. Eventually I found that balance in my early 30s, and looking back now, I understand that it came not in spite of, but because of the years of trial-and-error along the way.

I went on my journey into health and fitness mostly alone and without much formal guidance. Today I try to make it where my clients don’t have to do the same. I work with people who are on similar paths to improving their fitness, health, and wellness. I strive to be the help and support that would have been most helpful to me over those 20 years so that my clients’ journeys can be less painful and more productive.

My professional path into health and fitness was similarly long and winding.

I became professionally certified as a personal trainer in 2020. But but before becoming involved in health and wellness on a professional level, I worked in varying careers that progressively led me to where I am today. I currently work full-time as a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Certified Health Coach, and Licensed Massage Therapist.

Prior to working in Health & Wellness I was a teacher. I taught both undergraduate and graduate level writing and pedagogy courses and directed the campus writing center at Northern Arizona University. My earlier years were largely steeped in the world of higher academics--first as a student, then as an educator. I eventually became disenchanted by the politics of higher education though, and so I took a gamble: I separated from conventional society for a bit, and I literally walked through the wilderness from Mexico to Canada a couple of times in hopes of finding what I really wanted to do with my life. After more than 10,000 miles of hiking through the American West between 2014-2019, I started to settle back into the "conventional world" and began my current career in Health & Wellness. Now my professional life is built around helping  people live better, more fulfilling, and more healthful lives.

Today I work with clients to make their journey to better health and wellness as smooth and efficient as possible. There's no denying that big changes take focused commitment, but for those who are dedicated to improving themselves through exercise, nutrition, and mindfulness, I'm here to provide support and help along the way. I work both in-person and online as an educator, coach, trainer, mentor, consultant, and massage therapist to help you achieve your goals, become the best version of your self, and live your best life.
